My name is Derek Van Wagner & I usually play a Fender Jazz Bass.

 

For years I played the same type & brand of strings (Ernie Ball Slinkys), never risking my spare cash on a different style. But once I started switching strings more fequently, I was amazed at the differences in tone, feel & overall sound capabilities. 

 

Without buying the strings yourself, there is no simple way to test the sound of your desired strings. So I made this website to help other bass players decide which bass strings they prefer.
